Simple Interest Calculations:
The basic calculation for this calculator finds A, the Final Investment Value, using the basic simple interest formula: A = P(1 + ni) where P is the Principal amount of money to be invested at an Interest Rate i% per period for n Number of Time Periods.
Simple calculations for interest do not account for compounding. For example, if you want to know the simple interest for 10 years on a principal amount of $100 it is the interest rate times 10 years. So an interest rate of 3% will be $100 * 30% = $130. See also our Compound Interest Calculator.
