Calculator Use

Use this time calculator to keep a running total for hours, minutes and seconds, adding or subtracting time in the form hh:mm:ss or hours:minutes:seconds. The running tally of time is kept like an adding machine. Enter values according to time entry formats below. You should be able to use this online calculator with only your number keypad and the enter key; mouse use is optional. To perform subtraction you can enter a negative sign before the value such as -05:22:15.

Time Entry Formats

You can use a dash (-), period (.), colon (:) or blank space ( ) as separators. For example, 15-06-22, 15.06.22, 15:06:22, and 15 06 22 are all interpreted as 15 hours 6 minutes 22 seconds or 15:06:22.

A leading dash or negative sign indicates a negative value.

Entry limits allowed:

• hours 0 to 999
• minutes 0 to 59
• seconds 0 to 59
