Calculator Use

Scientific notation is also know as exponential notation. Information if you need a scientific calculator.

Numbers in scientific notation must be entered in E notation.  For example, 1.23 x 10^7 is entered as 1.23E7 or 1.23e7.

Note that 1e0 = 1 x 10^0 and since anything raised to 0 = 1, 1e0 = 1.

This is a specialized version of our math calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, however, all results will be formatted in scientific notation. You can enter integers, decimals or scientific notation. (e.g. 27, 34.776, 3.5e8 and 4.7E-9)
